Mark Miller | Managing Partner
As a dedicated member of the education community, Miller is a frequent speaker and moderator of panels at education and ed tech conferences and serves on several standards and best practices committees. He serves as Board member of LearnLaunch Inc., The Cornell University Entrepreneurship Advisory Board, and as Chairman of LearnLaunch Operating Company LLC. Miller was recognized for his contributions at Cornell, co-chairing the Student Finance Commission, and was tapped by the Quill and Dagger Honorary Society.
Miller has been focused on the education space since winning the Cornell University Business Plan Competition. He was the founder, CEO or Chairman of a set of innovative education companies with exits including: TakeNote (sold to Student Agencies Inc.), The Custom Publishing Group (sold to Courier Corporation then RR Donnelley); CollegiateLink (sold to Campus Labs then Leeds Equity); The Daily Jolt (sold to Chung Dahm Learning) and PowerProse (sold to CCBN/Thomson Reuters).

Ken Eisner | Special Partner
Ken brings deep knowledge in postsecondary, education-to-work, corporate learning, “skilling” frameworks, cloud, and the latest and greatest data systems / AI to GHP. He also brings a global purview and success entering new geographies and leading public private partnerships with countries, states, and cities.
Ken is currently: Whiteboard Advisors’ Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR); New Markets Venture Partners’ Senior Advisor; edX Customer Advisory Board member; and Council for Graduate Schools Advisory Board member. Ken was also appointed to the inaugural D.C. Mayor’s Innovation and Technology Inclusion Council, where he chaired Education and Workforce Development committees, and he has served on transition or advisory committees for President Biden and Gov-Elect Wes Moore (D-MD).

Anna Barber | Partner
Since leaving McKinsey to join a startup in 1999, she has worked as a founder or early employee at early stage companies in the e-commerce, retail, entertainment and education sectors. She was co-founder and CEO of Scribble Press, an innovative children’s retail experience and digital publishing platform, and served as VP Product at companies such as Petstore.com, Rentanything.com and ABCMouse.
Anna is an advisor and coach to startups in the media and education sectors with a particular focus on mobile learning platforms. Anna is based in Los Angeles and represents the West Coast office of GHP.

Dean Millot | Partner K-12
Before joining GHP, he acted as President of New Education Economy and editor of K-12 Leads – a weekly web-enabled report of local, state, federal and international agencies grant and contract RFPs in P-16 education and youth services. He was Founder and President of Education Entrepreneurs Fund, a $15 million loan, equity, joint venture investment portfolio in emerging k-12 providers.
Dean also acted as Chief Operating Officer of New American Schools, a $125 million competitive R&D program to scale whole school reform. Prior to New American Schools Dean worked as a Senior Social Scientist at RAND Education with a focus on policy analysis around new structures of public education.

Todd Eicher | Advisor
During his career Todd has served in a variety of capacities including Senior Vice President, Executive Director, and Chief Mergers and Acquisitions Officer for Nelnet, Inc. During his time at Nelnet he successfully completed more than 25 education related M&A transactions. Todd also served as the CEO of Nelnet Enrollment Solutions, CUnet, Sparkroom, Petersons, and Smart Degree; helping students prepare to pursue their higher education goals, and working with schools to effectively market to and enroll high quality student candidates.
Todd is currently the Founder and CEO of TME Ventures, LLC, focused on building, investing in, and partnering with education services and technology companies. He is also the Co-founder of ClearDegree, an education concierge for working professionals.
Additionally Todd has extensive board of director’s experience as a past or current member of the 5280 Solutions, Infinet, Next Gen Solutions, Campus Guard, Invite Education, Infovisa, First National Life, Funding University and Affordable College boards.
Todd is a graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, and the University of Nebraska College of Law.

Christopher Nyren | Advisor
Christopher has also founded Educelerate, a network fostering start-ups focused on education technology and innovation which holds monthly meetups and workshops for a membership base exceeding 5,000 Educelerants as well as organized StartupWeekend EDU events across each of Chicago, the Twin Cities and Los Angeles. Podcasts and blog content are found at Educelerate.com.
Christopher spent the prior four years helping to build the Corporate Development & Global Strategy team for. During this time, he was involved in the creation of Apollo Global, a $1 billion joint venture private equity fund with the Carlyle Group. Over his career at Apollo, Mr. Nyren was the primary corporate development professional on every acquisition and investment they completed (totaling four domestic and international deals and over $750 million of aggregate consideration).
Christopher serves on the boards of GetSet and Wellspring and is an investor in All Campus, Decision Desk, GetSet, Learning.com, Learnmetrics, N2N, Nuro Learning, Presence Learning, and Sokikon. He has also worked in private equity, including the education focused fund LLR Partners. He started his career with the education and services coverage team at investment bank Credit Suisse. Mr. Nyren graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Lake Forest College and received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania.
